An expert believes the ring could be worth more than £200,000.Engagement ring specialists at UK retailer Steven Stone have revisited the beautiful story of Queen Elizabeth II’s engagement ring and compared it to Princess Kate and Meghan Markle’s.

Taking inspiration from Prince Phillip making an engagement ring from his mother’s jewels was Prince William, who gifted the then Kate Middleton Princess Diana’s classic sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

“After examining the sentimental sparkler, I’d estimate its current value to be around £207,000. In comparison, Meghan Markle’s ring is valued at approximately £120,000, while Kate Middleton’s – thanks to its timeless legacy – is now worth around £350,000.”
