Princess Kate set to miss major event attended by Royal Family due to illness
Princess Kate looks set to miss the Olympics as the sporting competition enters its second week.
The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and has been receiving preventative chemotherapy treatment.
So far in 2024, the royal has only made two public appearances.
The first came on June 15 at Trooping the Colour alongside her children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte 9 and Prince Louis, 6.
The second came almost a month later on July 14 during the men’s singles final at Wimbledon.
Princess Kate was joined by her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Matthews during the appearance on Centre Court.Kate is strongly interested in sports and attended the London 2012 Olympics alongside Prince William.
However, the Princess of Wales looks set to miss the Olympics this year.Princess Kate is awaiting medical advice from her doctors ahead of making her next major public appearance.
It is unlikely she will undertake an international engagement outside the UK at this point in her recovery.
