Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard Just Made a Major Move

After a little setback, things are back on track for the duchess’s upcoming venture.

While we’re all waiting with bated breath to see exactly what Meghan Markle has in store for her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, things are back on schedule after a minor hiccup. Yesterday, the Daily Mail reported that the brand was dealing with a “trademark setback” with the U.S. Patents and Trademarks Office. However, People reports that things are back on track and things are set for a full release this winter.

Markle has spoken about expecting backlash with just about anything she’s involved in, whether it’s philanthropy or products, but everything is set for American Riviera Orchard’s debut now that irregularities with the trademark have been resolved. The Daily Mail noted that trademark applications had “incorrect classification of yoga blankets, picnic baskets, and recipe books.” Now, reclassification is done, fees have been paid, and People adds that Meghan’s “venture is officially set to launch later this year.”

Meghan announced American Riviera Orchard on March 14, 2024. Since the brand’s social media accounts went live, they haven’t been updated, but Markle and Prince Harry’s friends have received American Riviera Orchard jam and dog treats. Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen, and Kris Jenner have all posted about the jam and polo player and model Nacho Figueras posted about the brand’s dog biscuits.

A source close to Meghan explained that the brand “will reflect everything that she loves—family, cooking, entertaining and home décor.”

“She is excited about her latest, personal venture,” they said. “This is something she’s been wanting to do for a while. She is excited to share her style and things that she loves.”

Previous trademark applications revealed that Meghan hopes to include tableware, jarred food products, cookbooks, cosmetics, yoga equipment, gardening gear, pet accessories, and more under the American Riviera Orchard umbrella.
